Recovered from underground Gold Chest containers scattered throughout the stone and dirt cavern layers, Hermes Boots grant sprint acceleration. After a short running start, the player accelerates up to 30 mph. Workshop combinations and boots tree progression
At a Tinkerer's Workshop, Hermes Boots combine with Rocket Boots to form Spectre Boots, introducing rocket flight on top of sprint speed. Continuing up the crafting tree through Lightning Boots and Frostspark Boots leads ultimately to Terraspark Boots. They can also be crafted with Silk to produce Fairy Boots. Reforging them to Warding or Menacing gives a solid combat bonus throughout exploration, ensuring their utility remains central from Pre-Hardmode through Hardmode bosses.
