Assembled at a Tinkerer's Workshop by merging three separate informational rewards earned from Angler daily quests: the Fisherman's Pocket Guide, the Weather Radio, and the Sextant. Once in possession, the device constantly tracks atmospheric wind speed, displays moon phases, and reveals current fishing power calculations directly on the interface, helping players time high-yield fishing sessions around favorable weather patterns. Tracking lunar cycles assists with predicting blood moons and werewolves, while real-time weather monitoring confirms when wind speeds trigger sandstorms in distant desert biomes.
Inventory tracking and PDA construction
Like all informational accessories, the Fish Finder provides real-time data readouts while sitting in normal inventory slots or a personal Void Bag, without consuming an equipment slot. It shares these data points with nearby team members in multiplayer worlds during cooperative play. At a workshop, combining it with the GPS, Goblin Tech, and R.E.K. 3000 creates the all-in-one PDA, advancing toward the Cell Phone.
