Anvil smithing and acceleration mechanics

Crafted at an Iron Anvil or Lead Anvil using 12 Demonite Bar or Crimtane Bar bars along with 5 Topaz gems, Magiluminescence provides mobility and light. Wearing it grants an ambient aura of illumination around the character while increasing movement speed by 20%. Crucially, it doubles ground acceleration and deceleration, allowing the wearer to reach maximum sprint speed near instantaneously and stop on a dime.

Boot stacking synergies and combat evasion

The acceleration bonus provided by Magiluminescence stacks with sprint footwear such as Hermes Boots and Terraspark Boots. Eliminating the sluggish startup delay of standard boots makes dodging sudden boss charges and enemy projectiles noticeably easier in early boss arenas. Combining fast acceleration with swift dash abilities makes dodging complex boss patterns far simpler. Available immediately after mining evil ores with explosives or defeating the Eye of Cthulhu, it remains a premier accessory for evasive combat throughout Pre-Hardmode and into early Hardmode.
