Hellstone bar forging and the mining threshold
Constructed at an anvil using 20 Hellstone Bar ingots, this pickaxe wields 100% pickaxe power and 12 melee damage. It serves as the gateway pickaxe to transition into Hardmode, standing as the only pre-Hardmode pickaxe capable of mining Cobalt Ore and Palladium Ore. It breaks Hellstone and Obsidian in few strikes.
Radiant swinging arc and digging speed
Swinging the pickaxe produces glowing spark trails that illuminate unexplored cave walls and pits while mining. Strikes ignite nearby monsters with the On Fire! debuff. Applying the Light modifier maximizes excavation pace, reducing swing delay and speeding up early Hardmode ore gathering.
