Forged at a table and chair using 10 Platinum Bar ingots and a single Chain. The Platinum Watch matches the gold watch as the highest tier of pre-Hardmode clockwork, displaying exact in-game time accurate to the minute. Pinpoint time tracking allows players to anticipate dusk at 7:30 PM for boss summoning rituals, track blood moon phases, and monitor sunrise at 4:30 AM. Herb gatherers also use minute readings to harvest blooming Daybloom flowers during daylight or Moonglow blossoms that open strictly after nightfall.

Passive pocket operation and GPS navigation synthesis

Carrying the watch in the player's general inventory provides constant clock readings without consuming a functional accessory slot. At a Tinkerer's Workshop, it unites with the Depth Meter and Compass to fabricate the GPS. Mechanically minded adventurers also wire the watch with Wire to build the 1 Second Timer, pulsing automated statue dispensers and trap engines once every 60 game ticks.
