Obtained as an 8.33% drop from Bone Lee within the post-Plantera Dungeon. Equipping the Tabi unlocks a directional dash maneuver performed by double-tapping the left or right movement key. This burst propels the character roughly 15 tiles at high velocity, enabling instant repositioning and rapid deceleration. Unlike slower sprint buildups, the dash instantly overrides current momentum to dodge incoming hostile projectiles and aerial hazards across tight spaces.

Mobility comparisons against early game dashes

The Tabi directly upgrades into Master Ninja Gear when fused with a Black Belt and Tiger Climbing Gear. Compared to the pre-Hardmode Shield of Cthulhu, the Tabi covers greater distance and eliminates the risk of bouncing backward off struck targets. Its horizontal agility is ideal for dodging wide laser sweeps during the Moon Lord encounter and evasive bosses across open arenas. Warding provides solid defensive reliability, while Lucky increases critical strike consistency.
