The Eye of Cthulhu is dropped by Mothron during the post-Plantera Solar Eclipse event with a one-in-three base drop chance. The weapon features infinite spin duration, meaning it stays hovering at the cursor indefinitely until recalled by the player. With an extended reach of 23 tiles, it keeps melee combatants safe from dangerous boss contact damage while dishing out relentless targeted attacks.
High-tier melee output and Yoyo Bag pairing
Striking for 115 base melee damage and 3.5 knockback, it ranks as the second most powerful yoyo in the game, outstripped only by the endgame Terrarian. Combining it with a Yoyo Bag duplicates the primary yoyo and deploys high-velocity counterweights, dramatically widening defensive perimeter coverage. Reforging to Godly or Demonic yields the greatest stat gains because yoyos cannot accept attack speed benefits from Legendary.
