Rapid subterranean charges along sandy tunnel floors
Antlion Chargers stalk the winding corridors of the Underground Desert. Protected by an exoskeleton with 80 health and 10 defense, this insect scuttles along sandstone corridors. When it spots an intruder, it accelerates into a rapid sprint, delivering 25 contact damage in Classic, 50 in Expert, and 75 in Master, easily overwhelming explorers who lack mobility boots.
Extracting sturdy mandibles for mining potions and digging claws
Constructing wooden barricades or dropping down from ceiling ropes lets spelunkers engage Antlion Chargers safely, as their charge cannot leap over high obstacles. Upon defeat, they drop Antlion Mandibles at a 33.3% rate (1–2 units), vital for crafting Mining Potions and sandgun ammunition. They also drop the Mandible Blade at 2% and Banana Split at 2%.
Trivia
- Antlion Chargers move noticeably faster when traversing flat sand or smooth sandstone compared to uneven blocks.
