Radiant purple flyers of the underground hallow
The Illuminant Bat is a glowing flying mammal that flits through the Underground Hallow during Hardmode. Boasting 200 health and 30 defense, it darts erratically through cavern corridors, dealing 75 contact damage in Classic, scaling to 150 in Expert and 225 in Master. Its translucent lavender wings radiate bright purple light, revealing cavern walls without torches.
Cavern crowd control and food drops
Because Illuminant Bats fly with high agility and swarm in packs, weapons with wide sweeping hitboxes like whips or the Beam Sword swat them down before they land hits. Slaying Illuminant Bats yields tasty Apple Pie at 0.67% for high stat boosts, the Crystallize food buff at 0.5%, and the vampiric Bat Bat club at 0.33%.
