Purifying the enchanted amphibian of the jungle
The Mystic Slime is a magical purple town companion sporting a pointed witch hat with a golden crescent moon brooch. Unlike common slimes that wander the plains, this arcane pet starts out trapped beneath an ancient polymorph enchantment in the dense vegetation of the Jungle.
Players scouring the surface or underground Jungle may encounter a rare critter known as the Mystic Frog hopping through the mud and vines. Attempting to catch the frog with a Bug Net fails, causing the creature to vanish into a puff of smoke. To release the true pet within, players must throw a handful of Purification Powder, purchased from the Dryad, directly onto the hopping amphibian. The powder breaks the magical hex instantly, causing the frog to transform into the Mystic Slime.
Witchcraft aesthetics and friendly town companionship
Once transformed, the Mystic Slime happily joins player settlements as a loyal domestic companion. Like all town slimes, it requires no exclusive housing construction; it can comfortably bunk in the same bedroom as any standard humanoid villager without compromising their room validity.
It possesses 250 life and 15 defense, meandering peacefully through village hallways and casting subtle magical sparks. Approaching the slime allows players to pet it, prompting a delighted wobble and floating heart animations that bring joy to the community.
Amphibian tracking and collection milestones
Finding the Mystic Frog can be challenging because of aggressive jungle predators and dense foliage. Equipping a Lifeform Analyzer or Hunter Potion helps detect the rare critter quickly before wandering hornets or jungle bats harm it.
Welcoming the Mystic Slime into your settlement marks an essential step toward unlocking The Great Slime Mitosis achievement, which celebrates gathering all eight town slimes in a single world. She also contributes toward the community resident count needed to attract the Princess.

- Catching the Mystic Frog with a standard Bug Net causes it to disappear in smoke without unlocking the slime.
