It confers permanent baseline bonuses: +10% damage, +10% melee speed, +2% critical strike chance, +0.5 HP/s life regeneration, +4 defense, +15% mining speed, and +0.5 minion knockback. At night, it morphs the player into a Werewolf for additional melee prowess; submerged in water, it grants Merfolk form with unlimited breath and swift swimming.

The Celestial Shell is a premier choice for all classes, particularly melee and summoner setups confronting nighttime threats like Empress of Light and Moon Lord. Its stat bonuses stack alongside an uncrafted Celestial Stone, allowing dedicated builds to combine both items for cumulative benefits. To maximize offensive output, reforging with Menacing yields an additional 4% damage, while Warding contributes 4 bonus defense.
