High-speed homing water discs and piercing projectile paths
Razorblade Typhoon is dropped by Duke Fishron with a 20% drop chance. It consumes 20 mana per cast to launch 2 large, glowing aquatic discs that fly at rapid speed. Each disc aggressively homes in on nearby hostile targets, piercing through up to 22 separate enemies and ricocheting off solid blocks before expiring after 3 seconds of flight time.
Pillar event clearing and mana management
The weapon is a dominant magical option for wave events, Martian Madness, and the Lunar Events. Its rapid projectile speed and persistent ricochets clear swarms of airborne monsters before they reach the player, vastly outperforming single-target spells like the Spectre Staff. Pairing it with Spectre Mask amplifies burst damage, while equipping Mana Flower and Celestial Emblem prevents mana depletion during continuous spellcasting. The best modifier is Mythical.
Trivia
- Each aquatic disc can pierce up to 22 targets and bounce off solid tiles.
- The spell fires 2 separate homing discs in rapid succession for a single mana cost.
