Sandstorm in a Bottle

Desert pyramid recovery and whirlwind ascension

Recovered from Sandstone Chests buried within desert pyramids, or obtained by opening fished Oasis Crate and Mirage Crate catches. Activating the accessory triggers a spinning sandstorm cyclone double jump that carries the player upward by 15 tiles. This leap provides the highest vertical lift among all basic double jump jars, allowing players to scale high cliffs and escape pit traps rapidly.

Balloon combinations and aether transmutation

In Hardmode, players who miss finding a pyramid can craft this bottle using a Cloud in a Bottle and a Forbidden Fragment. At a Tinkerer's Workshop, combining it with a Shiny Red Balloon creates the Sandstorm in a Balloon. That item combines further into the Bundle of Balloons for multi-jump aerial dominance. Submerging the bottle in Shimmer transmutes it into Pharaoh's Mask.

Trivia

• The swirling sand particle effect rotates the player sprite during the upward leap phase.
• It imparts significantly more initial vertical velocity than the Blizzard in a Bottle.
• Timing the jump just before hitting the ground cancels all accumulated falling damage.
