Dungeon locked chests and summon tag amplification
Discovered inside Locked Gold Chests within the Dungeon, or obtained by opening Dungeon Crates and Stockade Crates fished from Dungeon waters. Equipping this silver armlet increases the maximum number of active summon tag effects on hit targets by 1, while significantly lengthening the duration that whip summon tags linger on struck enemies before expiring during combat. Extending whip tag duration allows summoners to alternate between primary minion support whips and defensive secondary weapons without sacrificing damage.
Whip-stacking rotations and summoner shield upgrades
The Silver Bracer is a great accessory for summoners who rely on whip stacking during boss fights. Normally, cycling through multiple whips requires constant rapid re-application; this bracer keeps tag buffs active together, allowing minions to deal multiplied damage. At a Tinkerer's Workshop, it upgrades into the Silver Shield with an Obsidian Shield, or Twilight Grasp with a Wicked Armlet. Reforging to Violent increases whip attack speed, while Menacing enhances minion damage across long encounters.
Trivia
- Bears the whimsical tooltip description ''Tis a silver lining!''.
- Added in update 1.4.5 to grant pre-Hardmode summoners dedicated whip tag management capabilities.
