Whip tag expansion and evil biome drop rates
Dropped by Corruptor in the Corruption and Floaty Gross in the Crimson at a 4% rate, the Wicked Armlet enhances whip effectiveness. It increases the maximum number of active summon tag effects applied to enemies by 1, and increases whip knockback by +1 on every strike. At the Tinkerer's Workshop, it combines with Feral Claws to craft Wicked Claws, or crafts into Armlet Of Ruin and Twilight Grasp.
Summoner tag stacking and crowd spacing
Standard whip mechanics limit how many tag bonuses can be placed on a target simultaneously; this accessory expands that capacity by one, enabling summoners to stack damage buffs from whips like Snapthorn and Durendal together on priority bosses. The extra knockback also helps keep aggressive cavern foes away during exploration. Reforging to Violent increases whip attack speed, while Menacing amplifies minion tag strike damage across all summoned companions.
Trivia
- Introduced in Terraria 1.4.5 to expand summon tag stacking strategies for whip-focused playstyles.
- The armlet drops from both Corruptors and Floaty Gross, making it farmable in either world evil biome.
