Volcano

Hellstone bar forging and explosive area impact

Constructed at an Iron Anvil or Lead Anvil using twenty Hellstone Bars smelted with obsidian, Volcano is a heavy fiery broadsword forged from the Underworld. Swinging the heated blade inflicts 40 base melee damage and 6.5 knockback at a Very slow cadence. Upon connecting with an enemy, the melee impact triggers a fiery area explosion that damages surrounding adversaries and inflicts the On Fire! debuff.

Nights Edge ingredient and heavy broadsword sweeps

Formerly known as the Fiery Greatsword, Volcano was updated in version 1.4.4 with its signature explosive burst to compensate for slower swing speed. Alongside the Blade of Grass, Muramasa, and Light's Bane, it serves as a necessary component to craft the Night's Edge at a Demon Altar or Crimson Altar. The wide arc and secondary blast make it ideal for batting away bats and zombies. Legendary stands as the premier reforge modifier, raising swing speed, knockback, and damage.

Trivia
