Constructed at a Work Bench by stitching 60 Bone fragments with 50 Cobweb strands, the Necro Breastplate delivers 7 defense and boosts ranged weapon damage by 5%. Securing the necessary bones requires venturing into the Dungeon after overcoming Skeletron. In these fortified halls, players farm bones from skeletal adversaries while combining them with webs collected from cavern chambers. Requiring the largest quantity of bones in the set, this chestplate serves as the primary defensive anchor for pre-Hardmode ranged setups.
Ammo conservation synergy and pre-Hardmode archery
Equipping this chest piece with Necro Helmet (or Ancient Necro Helmet) and Necro Greaves activates a set bonus granting a 20% chance to conserve ammo. Unlike melee or magic torso pieces, this breastplate is dedicated to ranged damage scaling.
