Gleaming blue gelatin of the dungeon halls
Dungeon Slimes are vibrant translucent blue slimes that hop through the brick hallways of the Dungeon after Skeletron is defeated. Easily distinguished from ordinary slimes, they contain a gleaming golden key clearly visible inside their gelatinous core. They navigate brick tunnels with 150 health and 7 defense.
Securing golden keys for dungeon chests
Dealing 30 contact damage in Classic and 60 in Expert, Dungeon Slimes bounce across brick stairs and spike traps to reach players. Slaying a Dungeon Slime always drops a Golden Key at a 100% rate, providing the key needed to open Locked Gold Chests containing Muramasas, Handguns, and Cobalt Shields.
Trivia
- The Golden Key inside a Dungeon Slime's body is visually rendered inside its sprite.
- Unlike Angry Bones, Dungeon Slimes guarantee a Golden Key on every single kill.
