The Granite Elemental is a stone entity that hovers throughout the Granite Cave mini-biome in the Cavern layer. Carrying 40 life and 8 defense, it flits erratically through the air, dealing 24 contact damage in Classic, 48 in Expert, and 72 in Master. It periodically phases through solid stone to ambush miners excavating granite deposits.
Harvesting granite blocks and night vision gear
Because Granite Elementals dart through tight stone crevices, weapons with lingering hitboxes or broadswords keep them from swarming miners. Slaying them guarantees Granite Blocks at 100% (yielding 5–10 blocks), providing sleek dark building materials. They also yield the Night Vision Helmet at 3.33% to brighten caverns, and valuable Geodes at 5% containing raw gems.
