Hallowed desert embalming and agility
The Light Mummy is an agile undead runner that spawns across Hallowed Deserts during Hardmode. Sporting 200 life and 18 defense, it charges across sand dunes with impressive running speed, delivering 55 contact damage in Classic, 110 in Expert, and 165 in Master. Cloaked in bright hallowed bandages, it is significantly faster and more aggressive than ordinary desert mummies.
Harvesting light shards and silencing tools
Because Light Mummies sprint swiftly over sand, using weapons that inflict knockback or slow debuffs prevents them from closing into melee range. Defeating Light Mummies offers a 10% chance to claim a Light Shard, a vital component for forging the Dao of Pow flail. They also drop the Trifold Map at a 1% rate to cure confusion, alongside pieces of the Mummy vanity set including the Mummy Mask (1.33%).
Trivia
- Light Shards dropped by this creature are combined with Dark Shards from corrupt mummies to craft the Dao of Pow.
- It sprints considerably faster across sand blocks than standard surface mummies.
