Miniature remnants of severed corrupt slimes
The Slimeling is a swift purple slime fragment spawned whenever a Corrupt Slime is destroyed in the Hardmode Corruption. Possessing 90 life and 10 defense, three Slimelings emerge simultaneously from the ruptured parent, swarming players with 45 contact damage in Classic, scaling to 90 in Expert and 135 in Master. Their smaller hitboxes and erratic hopping make them nimble pursuers.
Sweeping miniature swarms and gel reserves
When a Corrupt Slime bursts, swinging wide broadswords like the Night's Edge or firing piercing arrows clears all three Slimelings before they scatter across uneven ground. Slaying Slimelings replenishes Gel at 100% (yielding 2–4 gel), with chances to drop the Blindfold accessory at 1% and the decorative Meat Grinder at 0.5%.
Trivia
- Slimelings do not spawn naturally from the environment; they only arise when a parent Corrupt Slime dies.
- Because three spawn per parent, defeating Corrupt Slimes quadruples potential drop rolls for the Blindfold.
