Forged at an anvil from ten Crimtane Bars collected from Crimson chasms, the Blood Butcherer serves as the flagship broadsword of Crimson worlds. It delivers 22 base melee damage with 5 knockback across a wide forward swing. The broad sweep hits multiple targets simultaneously, making it reliable when clearing dense surface zombie clusters. Each direct strike afflicts targets with blood butcherer lacerations, stacking bleeding damage over time that causes wounded enemies to erupt with crimson gore.

Melee boss utility and night edge forging

Operating at an 25 use time with Fast swings, it hits harder than its Corruption rival, Light's Bane, though it swings with a slightly slower cadence. The stacking bleed effect shines against sturdy targets like Brain of Cthulhu and cavern mini-bosses. Equipping a Feral Claw further unlocks autoswing, easing continuous close-quarters combat. Later in progression, taking the blade to an altar allows combining it into Night's Edge. Legendary provides the best modifier for size, speed, and critical output.
