Drops
Lava Slime drops nothing in the game's drop rules.
Volcanic gelatin hopping across the underworld
Lava Slimes are fiery oozes that inhabit the incandescent depths of the Underworld. Emitting a warm orange glow as they bounce across obsidian bricks and ash deposits, they possess 50 life and 10 defense. Striking a player inflicts 15 base damage, while contact with their gelatinous body sets targets ablaze with the On Fire! debuff.
Mitigating hazardous magma puddles in expert mode
In Expert and Master modes, defeating a Lava Slime causes it to release a pool of genuine lava upon death. When constructing a long wooden or stone runway to fight the Wall of Flesh, these lava drops can cover the path in molten liquid. Players should build their bridges out of non-flammable solid blocks, utilize Obsidian Skin Potions or Lava Waders, or employ the Royal Gel accessory to render Lava Slimes passive.
Trivia
- In Expert and Master modes, slaying a Lava Slime leaves behind a single block of liquid lava.
- Equipping the Royal Gel accessory causes Lava Slimes to become passive toward the player.
