Flaming arrow barrages from the pirate backline

Positioned behind frontline melee invaders, the Pirate Crossbower provides relentless ranged artillery during the Pirate Invasion. She takes aim from afar and looses flaming arrows in rapid succession, which ignite unwary defenders and deny open airspace. Although she possesses a modest 20 defense, her tendency to linger behind charging Pirate Corsair units forces defenders to rely on piercing magic or bouncing explosives to eliminate her from safety.

Piercing through snipers to loot the Discount Card

Taking down Pirate Crossbowers contributes toward completing the invasion while opening up access to lucrative greed accessories. Like other crew members, defeating her offers a rare 0.1% roll for the Discount Card to permanently slash town NPC shop prices, and a 0.1% chance for the Pirate Staff summon weapon. She can also drop the explosive Barrel Launcher (0.5%) or elaborate Golden Chairs (0.33%).

Trivia

  • The Crossbower is the only female humanoid combatant in the entire Pirate Invasion crew.
  • Her flaming arrows emit dynamic light particles that illuminate dark arena floors.
