They propel characters horizontally at speeds up to 36 mph while preventing impact damage from high drops. Because they roll from any Hardmode boss bag, players can farm early bosses like Queen Slime to unlock them.

The wings furnish dependable air control when challenging mid-Hardmode adversaries such as Spazmatism or Plantera. Combining them with a Soaring Insignia grants unlimited flight time, letting players circle hostile targets safely without landing. Adding Frostspark Boots helps build ground momentum before launching into broad evasive curves. Stylistically, the wings feature obsidian feathers edged with golden metallic plating, giving characters a sleek avian silhouette that shifts in tone under varied armor dyes.
