Discovered inside Skyware Chests resting on Floating Islands, or fished up from Sky Crates and Azure Crates. Equipping the horseshoe negates all fall damage regardless of drop distance, allowing adventurers to plunge down hellevators or leap from sky islands without fear of lethal impacts. It provides peace of mind during early cavern exploration while descending through uncharted chasms, preventing sudden deaths caused by dark pits, severed rope lines, or accidentally triggered boulder traps.

Obsidian forging and balloon combinations

At the Tinkerer's Workshop, combining the horseshoe with an Obsidian Skull creates the Obsidian Horseshoe, granting immunity to burning blocks like meteorite and hellstone. It also combines with various double-jump balloons to produce compact accessories like the Blue Horseshoe Balloon and Yellow Horseshoe Balloon. These upgrades culminate in the Bundle of Horseshoe Balloons, integrating multiple midair jumps with fall protection.
