 R.E.K. 3000 | 1 × Tally Counter, 1 × Lifeform Analyzer, 1 × Radar | Tinkerer's Workshop |
Traveling merchant visits and rare entity alerts
Purchased from the Traveling Merchant for 5 gold coins, the Lifeform Analyzer detects nearby rare creatures, critters, and hostile monsters. When a rare entity enters detection range, its name appears in text on screen, alerting explorers to valuable targets before they are visible. It flags essential encounters like the Goblin Tinkerer, Lost Girl (Nymph), Tim, and Prismatic Lacewing across various biomes. Noticing these alerts in advance prevents missing fleeting spawns that wander offscreen.
R.E.K. 3000 synthesis and inventory operation
At a Tinkerer's Workshop, the analyzer combines with the Radar and Tally Counter to form the R.E.K. 3000, which later crafts into the PDA and Cell Phone. The device operates from regular inventory slots or within a Void Bag without needing to be worn as an accessory. In multiplayer sessions, its detection readouts are shared with nearby teammates, coordinating group searches for rare quarry.
Trivia
- If several rare creatures are nearby, the analyzer prioritizes displaying the one with the highest internal rarity rank.
- Storing the device in your inventory keeps the rare creature readout active without consuming an accessory slot.
