Classic thrown flail variant and aquatic homing bubbles
Flairoon is an alternate combat configuration of Flairon, acquired by defeating Duke Fishron at the Ocean biome or toggled directly via right-click mode swap. Unlike the modern spin-and-drop flail variant, Flairoon functions as a classic thrown flail that launches directly forward toward the cursor. Throughout its flight trajectory and upon striking enemy targets, the flail head rapidly discharges tracking bubbles that aggressively seek out nearby monsters, inflicting full weapon damage upon contact.
Stance toggling and close-quarters defense
The direct throw mechanic of Flairoon gives players extended reach against distant airborne targets before snapping back to the player grasp. Players fighting swift bosses can alternate between Flairoon for ranged snipes and Flairon for continuous close-quarters protection. It easily outclasses earlier flails like the Flower Pow in tracking reliability and raw damage per second. Combining this weapon with Beetle Scale Mail and Fire Gauntlet produces formidable melee damage output. The best prefix for Flairoon is Godly.
Trivia
- Flairoon retains the classic pre-1.4 flail launching physics instead of stationary resting behavior.
- Right-clicking instantly transforms the weapon into Flairon without consuming items or coins.
