Sextant

Lunar phase monitoring and quest rewards

Awarded by the Angler upon turning in completed daily fishing quest catches, with a base distribution chance of approximately 3.33% that improves as more tasks are fulfilled. It functions as an informational accessory, displaying the current moon phase on the user interface. Monitoring the moon cycle is useful for tracking werewolf spawns, blood moons, Deathweed harvesting blooms, and rotating merchant wares from town NPCs such as the Clothier and Painter.

Shimmer transmutations and Fish Finder fabrication

Operates passively from the main inventory or Void Bag without occupying an active equipment compartment. If dropped into a pool of Shimmer, it transmutes into a Weather Radio, helping players complete the full Angler informational set. At the Tinkerer's Workshop, combining the Sextant with a Fisherman's Pocket Guide and a Weather Radio crafts the Fish Finder, a core component required to assemble the PDA and Cell Phone.

Trivia
